A group of mountaineers sets out on an epic expedition through the Karakoram, dreaming of scaling the Trango walls and reaching the imposing K2. Beyond the adventure itself, the journey becomes a profoundly human experience. In the small Balti village of Arandu, an elderly man gives Mattin Iñiguez, one of the mountaineers, a cloth scapular embroidered with prayers. He asks him to take it up into the mountains so that they may return to the village with the protection and energy they have received.
